Some devices that individuals choose to list on the Assistive Device Exchange (A.D.E.) may be for their personal care and hygiene. There are also devices that have been assessed by Health Care Professionals specifically for their needs. Be aware that there are risks you assume when obtaining those items used. (e.g. TENS machines, CPAP machines, Insulin Pumps, Braces, Mobility Equipment, etc.).
If your power wheelchair has power tilt / recline and was assessed by an Occupational Therapist it may have come through the Ministry of Health Assistive Device Program, specifically the Centralized Equipment Pool (CEP). You or your estate may be entitled to a rebate. Please see Frequently Asked Questions for more detail.
